The Basics:
- Your vehicle must be operable. This makes the job of the transporter much easier to load your vehicle on and off of the truck. If it is not operable, you need to make us aware of this so we can arrange adequate transportation for non-operable vehicles.
- Vehicle should be in original manufacturing condition. If any modifications have been made to the vehicle such as a lift, you will need to notify us so we have all the proper specifications of the vehicle.
- Provide SUPERTRANSPORT with several different methods to contact you. This is essential so that we can have the driver call ahead to ensure pick-up and destination times and details.
- Make arrangements so that either you or someone you know (over 18 years of age) is available to be there during the pick-up and delivery. There are numerous documents that will need to be signed, so having someone present upon pickup is essential.
Preparing your vehicle:
- Make sure your car is in relatively clean condition. All scratches and dents need to be noted prior to transport, having a clean car ensures that all damages will be noted.
- Clean out any personal items from your vehicle. There should be absolutely nothing of value in the vehicle, this includes the trunk.
- Complete an overall inspection of your vehicle to ensure that there are no leaks or loose cables.
- If you have an aftermarket radio installed, the faceplate needs to be removed.
- Any temporary bike racks, camper shells, or anything that is a temporary addition needs to be removed.
- An extra set of keys needs to be made so that the driver can access ALL areas of the vehicle.
- Any aftermarket antennas need to be removed. The standard manufacture antenna is fine.
- Make sure there is gas in the vehicle. A full tank isn't necessary but the vehicle needs to have around a quarter of a tank.
At the time of inspection:
- You or someone you give consent to is required to be at the pick-up and delivery location to sign off on all documents.
- You or someone you give consent to is required to complete the vehicle inspection with the driver, acknowledging all damage prior and post transport.
- You or someone you give consent to will sign off on the bill of lading finalizing the pick-up and delivery of the vehicle along with the overall condition of the vehicle.
By running through these main points, your overall experience will be much smoother. We will do all that we can to ensure you have a great experience, but these few things can help us with the process. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us at anytime!
